A Different Kind of Picture Display

As precious and sentimental as they may be, picture frames take up a lot of room and create clutter almost as fast as you can snap the picture. The fact that frames can be displayed by standing up instead of hanging on the wall is yet another problem. Pinterest has provided us with yet another easy do-it-yourself that allows anyone to display a large number of pictures in a creative and clutter-free way.

Materials:

Cardboard circle (roughly 13.5 inches in diameter)

50 clothespins

2-3 different colors of paint

Pictures

Directions:

Trace a circle out of cardboard for the base of the frame (a skillet works well to trace). Cut the cardboard and paint it your desired color. It is also possible to cut out a smaller circle out of the center of the cardboard, but keeping it solid allowed me to paint a design and personalize it. While the cardboard is drying, paint one side of the clothespins. You will need to add more than one coat of paint depending on the type of paint and how dark you want them. Once everything is dry use a hot glue gun to attach the clothespins to the outer edge of the cardboard. From there you can attach whichever pictures you want and personalize it however you like.

This works perfectly as a birthday gift, or if you are looking ahead to Christmas! This easy afternoon project is inexpensive, too, making it an even better option for a meaningful gift on a budget. This simple yet personal picture holder is a great way to decorate and remove clutter from any desk or dresser.
