Canvas Wall Art

Canvas Wall art is a great way to decorate any dorm room, apartment or house. Unfortunately, they can be pretty pricey at Target or your local department store, and you might not even find exactly what you are looking for. Enter Pinterest and your local craft store, and you have all the materials to make personalized art to display proudly.

Materials:

Canvas of any size

3 colors of acrylic paint (small bottles are plenty)

Paint brushes

Directions:

Measure and mark lines 1 1/2 inches apart horizontally and 1 1/2 inches apart vertically. Leave 3 to 4 inches of open space on the top of the canvas to write the name or title. After connecting all of the dots, the lines should resemble the outline of the intended chevrons. Alternate two colors, for this one light blue and white were used until the last full section of light blue where navy blue was used. Allow to dry and make sure to apply two coats of each color. At the top, you can be as creative as you want with the design of the letters and what you would like to say. Again, apply two coats of each color and allow to dry. Then you can apply simple Command strips to the back of the canvas and fix on any wall you would like.

This design can easily be changed and personalized for any sports team, or simply someone’s name and favorite colors. This will make for a great birthday or Christmas gift that shows you truly know the receiver of the canvas. So if Homecoming week or the upcoming start of the basketball season has suddenly sparked Ambrose pride in you, this is a simple, yet creative way to show it year round.
