It is unfortunate to hear that former faculty member Corinne Potter passed away on March 23. However, she should be remembered for helping the staff and students of St. Ambrose University. She worked as part of the library staff and even served as the library director for a little under two decades. Her biggest contribution to St. Ambrose was the construction of our library, having helped plan out the building with an SAU commitee. She even continued working for a year after the building was finished in 1996.
Kathy Byers, the current SAU administrative assistant, worked with Potter during her time at St. Ambrose.
“She was knowledgeable, energetic, congenial, and loved working in libraries,” Byers said. “She loved working with the students and staff. She helped in improving [the staff and helped in their] training to stay on top of things.”
