Criss-Cross Head Band
If you’re having a bad hair day and all you can do with it is twist it into a bun on top of your head, Pinterest has come to the rescue with a way to dress it up. These criss-cross head bands are easy to make and can be placed in your hair in under 30 seconds.
All you need is one long strip of fabric of any design or color. This should be stretchy material of some kind; I used part of an old T-shirt. Be careful when using T-shirt material, though, because the ends will roll easily if they are not hemmed. Start with the fabric behind your head with the two ends in each hand above your forehead. Then cross the two strands of fabric at the center of your head and then cross them again so you are holding the strands in the same hand you started with. Then pull them to the back of your head and knot to hold everything in place.
Now you have a perfect way to dress up your messy bun or ponytail in a short amount of time. The bonus to this easy headband is that you can make them festive for any occasion. During the spring you can use pastel and lighter colors and around Memorial Day or the Fourth of July you can use patriotic fabric.
